Summer Camp 2020 FAQs
The current situation with COVID-19 means life at the camp looks very different right now than we thought it would. We have had to make the difficult decision based on the governor’s reopening plan to cancel summer camp. If you have questions not addressed below, please get in touch with us via the contact page.
With great sadness, we have had to cancel many events over the last couple months, and now we have had to cancel summer camp as well. But our hope is in the Lord, and we are praying for his provision as we think through ways we can still serve our community this summer.
Will summer camp happen this year?
No. Unfortunately, after the governor’s announcement on June 22nd that Louisiana remain in Phase 2 for 28 more days, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our summer camp program. It deeply saddens us that we will be unable to provide this ministry to our families this summer.
Is there any way for my church (or other small group) to do something at the camp this summer?
Yes! We will be hosting day groups on a first-come first-served basis for the rest of the summer. Your group will have the camp to yourself for the day and will be able to customize activities to meet your needs. This is a great way to still get a taste of summer camp for your group while supporting our ministry. Check our our retreats page for more information.
What if I already registered for camp and paid the deposit? What happens to that money?
You have a few options when it comes to deposits paid. We would love for you to think about rolling the deposits over to the same camp next summer or prayerfully consider forgoing them as a donation to our ministry. However, we know that many are facing financial strain during this time, so refunds are also available.
